we-learn experience

 How does we-learn work?

This is a facilitated online learning experience

Your part of the deal to is to come ready to learn through a practical work project - something you want to do better or do differently

We help you to scope your project

And to think through the practical implications, including

What you might think might be the barriers that will stop you

And enablers that will help you achieve what you want to do

You will evaluate what other people have said about a topic and come to your own conclusions about how relevant it is for your own project. You can decide to reject or adapt existing insight, and use it in practice to help achieve your project objective. See Topic 10: Creative leadership and Topic 11: Thinking critically for skills that you will develop.

The box on the right summarises what you get. Plus you get the possibility to get your learning accredited for a Post Graduate Certificate in High Performance in the Digital Age.

What is the difference?

What is the difference between the accredited and unaccredited options?

You can do the we-learn experience for performance benefit and personal development.  The methods we use and the learning you will experience with accredited and unaccredited options are the same.

The difference is that if you would like your learning to be accredited to obtain the Post Graduate Certificate you will need to provide evidence of learning and demonstrate that assessment criteria are formally met.

An example of our approach

The Production Director on a highly sophisticated manufacturing line was trying to reduce manufacturing lead time significantly while maintaining quality. This was his project.

He was managing the production of a commercial satellite, which contained in excess of 10,000 components. Each component had to withstand the forces of take-off after the first few minutes.

These components are made in different countries. Component failure can jeopardise the whole launch. Continually returning components adds time. What does he do? How does he make the decision?

This is just one among many strategic and day-to-day decisions he had to make.

Among many things, his learning programme showed him techniques for evaluating risks, making judgements, critically evaluating options, specifying and defending selection criteria, and reflecting on outcomes.
