what is the difference?

What is the difference between the we-learn experience and the Post Graduate Certificate? 

You can do we-learn for performance benefit and personal development.  The methods we use and the learning you will experience with we-learn is the same as for the Post Graduate Certificate.

The difference is that if you would like your learning to be accredited and you wish to obtain the Post Graduate Certificate you will need to provide evidence of learning and demonstrate that assessment criteria are formally met.

how does we-learn work?

The Production Director on a highly sophisticated manufacturing line was trying to reduce manufacturing lead time significantly while maintaining quality. This was his project.

He was managing the production of a commercial satellite, which contained in excess of 10,000 components. Each component has to withstand the forces of take-off after the first few minutes.

These components are made in different countries. Component failure can jeopardise the whole launch. Continually returning components adds time. What does he do? How does he make the decision?

This is just one among many day-to-day decisions he had to make.

Among many things, his learning programme showed him techniques for evaluating risks, making judgements, critically evaluating ranges of options, specifying selection criteria, justifying selecting an option and reflecting on outcomes.
